A leading manufacturer of steel line pipe and steel fabricator for the oil and gas industry, is seeking an experienced and skilled Millwright to join our team in Harrisburg, PA. The ideal candidate will be a mechanically-minded professional with a strong understanding of industrial machinery and a commitment to safety and quality. The Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the complex machinery vital to our pipe manufacturing and coating operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to blueprints, layout plans, and technical specifications.

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, repairing or replacing defective parts using a variety of hand and power tools.

• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and plumb bobs to align and calibrate machinery to operational standards.

• Fabricate and weld machine components as needed.

• Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and hoists, to transport machinery and materials safely.

• Adhere to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production teams to address equipment-related challenges and improve overall plant efficiency.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of a vocational training or apprenticeship program in millwrighting or industrial maintenance is highly preferred.

• Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar industrial mechanic role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.

• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Physical fitness and dexterity to handle heavy machinery and work in a demanding industrial setting.

• Commitment to working in a team environment and communicating effectively.

Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Shift - 2nd Shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm
