Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are actively hiring a Pharmacy Manager for an 8+ week contract at a physical rehabilitation hospital in Colorado. The pharmacy serves 38 staffed beds with an average daily census of 34 patients. This role does not require PIC duties but includes staffing responsibilities and on-call coverage.

Position Details:
Location: Colorado
Facility Type: Physical Rehabilitation Hospital
Pharmacy Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm
On-Call Hours: Weeknights and weekends (M-F 4:30pm 8:00am; Saturday-Sunday 24 hours on call)
Staff: 1 Full-time and 4 PRN pharmacists, 1 Full-time and 1 PRN technician
Systems: Order entry system Wellsky; automation system Pyxis (recent conversion from Omnicell)

Key Responsibilities:
Manage pharmacy staffing and operations.
Provide on-call services alongside pharmacy staff.
Assist pharmacy technicians as needed.
Utilize Pyxis automation system proficiently.

Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years recent hospital pharmacy experience.
Clear and active Colorado pharmacist license.
At least 1+ year recent management experience.
Proficiency with Pyxis system and ability to support technicians.
