Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist supporting students near Saint Johns, FL. This full-time role begins August 10 and continues through October 30, covering a 12-week maternity leave. As an itinerant therapist, you will serve multiple campuses within the district, collaborating with educators and families to help students reach their goals for the new school year.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Florida Department of Health Occupational Therapy License required
- School-based occupational therapy experience strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt services across multiple school sites
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Up-to-date fingerprinting and eligibility through the AHCA Clearinghouse (or willing to obtain new fingerprints and JLA badge)
- Passion for supporting the unique needs of children and adolescents in an educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to a flexible caseload, serving various schools as assigned
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement intervention plans for students ranging in age
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to support student achievement and promote independence in school routines
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports aligned with school and district standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support strategies
