Position Overview:
Education: Completion of a nursing program (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
Licensure: It is your responsibility to secure and uphold a valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license, adhering to all state nursing board regulations.
Experience:
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of employment.
- Depending on the specific role or unit, additional certifications may be required within a designated timeframe, including:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Six Assessment & Care Modules)
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as necessary
Physical Demands:
- The role necessitates the ability to regularly push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing and walking are required throughout each shift.
- Tasks may involve gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
