Electrical Estimator
Position Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project documents and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and healthcare construction projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure bids are competitive and meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to gather project requirements and clarify details.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and presentations for potential projects.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
- Monitor and track project costs during construction to ensure adherence to budget.
- Provide input on value engineering options to optimize project costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, preferably in commercial and healthcare sectors.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components related to construction.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
