A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Med/Surg RN with strong clinical skills on a 13-week contract located in Boonville, IN. This position offers a chance to provide expert nursing care on nights at a well-established teaching hospital known for its supportive leadership and comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered care to a diverse Med/Surg population including post-surgical, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and high fall-risk patients.
• Manage complex clinical interventions including chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, tracheostomies, Heparin drips, PCA management, blood and blood product administration, and ostomy care.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely chartingcompletion of an EPIC checkoff class is required.
• Float within skillset between closely located campuses with appropriate notice, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic environment.
• Contribute to the units mission by supporting student and new-hire precepting as part of a teaching hospital.
• Maintain active communication and critical thinking skills to adapt in a fast-paced medical setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current active compact RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of solid Med/Surg nursing experience; at least one prior Travel RN assignment.
• Background in Level II trauma patient care highly preferred.
• Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Proven ability to work well within a team, resilience in change management, and a strong work ethic.
• Recent experience with EPIC electronic medical records.

Schedule & Location:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Guaranteed 36 hours weekly, with option to accept 48 hours; overtime applies after 52 hours on 48-hour schedules.
• Required to work three weekends every six weeks and every other holiday.
• Located 8 to 11 miles between hospital campuses, with occasional floating responsibilities.
