We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join our team at Elemet Group. The mission of the Director of Finance is to oversee all plant-level financial activities for multiple facilities, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cost control, and strategic financial planning to support operational excellence. This position will serve as a financial business partner to operations leadership, providing insight into operational performance, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.The Director of Finance requires a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metals or heavy industry.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, manage and hold finance team accountable to organizations’ policies and procedures.

•Oversee the day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and cash management.

•Serves as a key member of the leadership team in developing and implementing business plans, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.

•Manage the local general ledger through the monthly close process and account reconciliations; prepare, review and analyze monthly financial documents and maintain all accounting processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

•Manage the product costing process for multiple facilities.

•Collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish and monitor standard product costs.

•Analyze cost variances (e.g. material price and usage, labor efficiency, overhead spending).

•Owner of standard costing in finished goods and manufactured components.

•Monitor standard costing for raw materials and purchased components.

•Manage and/or complete accounting duties for month end close.

•Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end close.

•Assist with audits, tax preparation, and reconciliation of inventory accounts.

•Calculate burden rates annually and for new equipment.

•Build and maintain operations budgets, analyze and report on operational results against budgets.

•Create and post journal entries.

•Guides financial decisions and protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies, procedures, and internal controls.

•Work cross functionally to streamline cost accounting process.

•ERP subject matter expert.

•Government surveys.

•Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages.

•Manage annual financial audit with CPA firm

•Prepares budgets by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, and recommending plans.

•Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.

•Participates in weekly leadership meetings, quarterly reviews, and annual strategic planning events

•Assist/support the President with tasks as necessary.

•Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred but not required)

•7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; metals industry experience highly preferred

•Strong work experience as a Director of Finance or similar role in manufacturing

•Strong cost accounting skills

•Hands-on experience with general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

•Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

•Strong ERP knowledge (JobBoss preferred)

•Travel approximately 10% of time

•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer

•Must be able to lift 15-20 pounds occasionally

The expected base pay range for this position is between $95k and $149k annually.The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
