Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality in production operations. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance production flow and minimize costs.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and process audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to analyze production data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee CNC machining operations and ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
- Manage projects related to process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices and new technologies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials science and mechanical engineering principles to support manufacturing innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and techniques.
- Experience with CNC machining and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in using CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
