About the Role:
ProCare Therapy is partnering with Aurora Public Schools to hire multiple Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. These are full-time, onsite positions supporting a variety of classroom settings across the district. New classrooms are being added, and the district is actively interviewing candidates now!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
Develop, implement, and manage IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
Support students across a range of programs, including Autism, Affective Needs, Cross Categorical, and Functional Academics
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
Position Details:
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
Onsite position within Aurora Public Schools (Denver area)
2026–2027 school year (August 6, 2026 – May 26, 2027)
1 school site (new classrooms being added)
Caseload and campus assignments TBD based on district needs and candidate preferences
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) certification with appropriate Special Education endorsement
Experience working with Autism populations in a school setting required
Accepted Endorsements Include:
Early Childhood Special Education (Grades P3–2)
Special Education Generalist
Affective Needs / Educationally Handicapped
Moderate Needs / Severe Needs / Cognitive Needs
Cross Categorical
Functional Academics / Life Skills
Autism / Trainable Child / Severe Needs (various levels)
Additional Requirements:
Ability to complete background check and fingerprinting (time-sensitive)
Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance
