Why this role

  • Be the first responder for equipment issues across testers, printers, and production tools.
  • Act as the primary liaison between operations and maintenance/engineering.
  • Diagnose minor faults quickly and execute basic preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
  • Set up and fine-tune machines—ranging from simple changes to complex adjustments.
  • Use MPulse CMMS, CSB, and analysis tools to capture data and drive reliability.
  • Operate hand/power tools and computer-controlled systems with precision and care.

Schedule & compensation

  • Shift: 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm)
  • Pay: $24.00 per hour
  • Location: Buffalo Grove, IL

What you’ll bring

  • Electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance experience focused on reliability and improvements.
  • Training/certifications in welding, machining, industrial electric circuit wiring, and/or process troubleshooting.
  • Fluency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MPulse CMMS, and Dayforce.
  • Ability to make precision adjustments and maintain equipment meticulously.
  • Judgment to make assembly decisions based on prior operation outcomes.
  • Advanced rework/repair capability, including complex fault recovery.
  • English comprehension for technical instructions, training, and documentation.
  • Experience with visual aids, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, ISO work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Physical readiness to sit/stand/bend/push/pull and lift/transfer up to 25 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity with hand tools, electric/pneumatic tools, and specialized fixtures.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred

  • Technical school degree
  • PLC experience
  • Industrial maintenance background
