Pay Rate: $14–$16 per hour (based on experience)

Houston TX Hot Chicken (HHC) is looking to build a strong team of professional, high-energy hourly employees to support our off-site Amazon Fooda and catering-style events. These events represent our brand outside of the four walls of the restaurant, and we are looking for team members who understand the importance of guest interaction, efficiency, and upselling in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in customer service, catering, hospitality, food service, or event support who take pride in representing a premium brand.
Position Overview
As an Off-Site Event Team Member, you will be responsible for executing catered food service events with professionalism, urgency, and a guest-first mindset. These events are classified as catering events, often hosted at Amazon corporate locations through Fooda partnerships, and require team members who are confident, personable, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities

Represent Houston TX Hot Chicken professionally at all off-site events

Set up, execute, and break down catered food service stations

Provide exceptional customer service and positive guest interactions

Communicate menu items clearly and confidently to guests

Upsell menu items when appropriate to increase guest satisfaction and event success

Maintain food quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards at all times

Work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and brand standards

Collaborate with fellow team members and event leads to ensure smooth execution
Ideal Candidate Profile

Previous experience in customer service, catering, hospitality, or food service preferred

Comfortable engaging with guests and providing a high-level customer experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting catering equipment as needed

Ability to adapt quickly in off-site and non-traditional work environments
Requirements

Must be able to pass a federal background check (required for Amazon Fooda events)

Must be at least 18 years of age

Food handler certification (or ability to obtain one)

Availability to work event-based schedules, including mornings, lunches, and occasional evenings
