Physical Requirements:

This employee must be able to assist patients onto the tabletop and into positioning per ordered X-rays/ultrasounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Qualifications:

National Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), and Licensed by the State.

Basic Function:

Produce all Radiological images and oversee the digital transfer to specified Radiologist for interpretation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Meet and greet patients and explain the Radiologic/ultrasound procedure
  2. Ability to position each patient per ordered exam
  3. Knowledge of when to use protective devices such as lead aprons and shields to meet Radiation Safety Standard
  4. Competency to set the x-ray tube/ultrasound probe to the proper distance and angle for the examination being performed
  5. Produce the best diagnostic images that are reproducible using the computer program for the department
  6. Generate findings report for interpretation
  7. Oversee and manage the transfer and archiving of digital images/reports
  8. Maintain all patient records according to HIPPA standards
  9. Wear monitoring dosimeter at all times while performing Radiologic Exams
  10. Check and Maintain equipment within Radiology/Ultrasound Departments
  11. Must have the aptitude to set controls using ALARA and ARDMS standards
