Davis Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join the nursing team at the Davis County Receiving Center, (RC). The RC is a 23-72 hour alternative to inpatient hospitalization or incarceration that specializes in short-term crisis resolution. This facility provides observation, screening and social detoxification for police drop-offs, emergency department transfers and walk-in crisis services. The primary purpose of the Receiving Center is to provide a short length of stay and a focus on stabilizing the crisis and returning a person to community supports.
Schedule
The proposed schedule for this position will be the three (3) 12-hour shifts outlined below:
- Wednesday: 10:00AM-8:30PM
- Thursday: 10:00AM-8:30PM
- Friday: 10:00AM-8:30PM
- Saturday: 10:00AM-8:30PM
The successful candidate may also be asked to help with coverage, when needed.CompensationThe successful candidate(s) will be offered a base rate based on post-licensure experience.
- The starting hourly rate for newly-licensed registered nurses is $34.00. The exact starting rate for RNs at DBH is calculated using the starting rate + 1% per year for each year of post-licensure experience.
- The starting hourly rate for newly-licensed Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) is $27.50 per hour with the same credited service as described above.
Shift DifferentialsNurses working during the graveyard shift (5:00 pm to 5:00 am) or any weekend shift (Saturday 12:00 am to Monday 12:00 am) will receive a 15% shift differential.
It is highly preferred that individuals who are interested in obtaining employment at DBH, their spouse, or one of their dependents not be actively receiving services at DBH except for medication management services to eliminate/avoid possible conflicts or uncomfortable boundaries.
Required Experience
Must be licensed as either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Utah and be in good standing.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.
Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
DBH utilizes an electronic health record system, so computer literacy is a must for employment.
Preference will be given for applicants who are fluent in Spanish, but this is not a requirement for employment in this opening.

DBH Criminal Background Check & Drug Screening Disclaimer
