Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An educational position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students, serving a K-12 population. This role offers a part-time contract extending until June 19, 2026, focusing on direct, on-site instruction across multiple locations. The position requires an experienced educator committed to supporting the communication and learning needs of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
  • Manage a caseload across multiple school sites, adapting to varied student age groups.
  • Utilize appropriate educational and communication strategies to support student development.
  • Maintain comprehensive student records and progress monitoring tools.

Qualifications:

  • Active New Hampshire teaching license.
  • Current certification/licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
  • Proven experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Strong understanding of communication methods suitable for DHH learners.
  • Ability to work effectively in onsite school environments.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Location & Schedule:

  • Position based in Nashua, NH.
  • Part-time commitment of 18 hours per week (0.5 FTE).
  • School year contract beginning ASAP and concluding June 19, 2026.
  • Onsite presence required across multiple sites serving K-12 students.
