Warehouse Manager
We are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager at our Mendota Heights, MN location. We need a Warehouse Manager to manage warehouse staff, vehicles, and other equipment, and oversee security, sanitation, and administrative functions.
Primary Role: You will be responsible for the overall operations and supervision of warehouse activities. Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations. You will initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures. Ultimately, ensuring productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Responsibilities:
- Manage warehouse employees, inspect goods, ensure effective operations
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing contractors
- Manage warehouse in compliance with our company’s policies and vision
- Set up layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies
- Work closely with Independent Contractors to ensure product delivery
- Receive and track shipments – scan serial numbers in and out
- Load and unload merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools and equipment
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories
- Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise
- Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
- Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs
- Operate a forklift
- Other duties as needed
Education & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Lead or Manager
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Good understanding of warehouse management software systems
- Keen understanding of the importance of warehouse layout
- Ability to communicate goals and processes to warehouse associates
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Forklift Operation Certification
- DOT certification will be considered an advantage
Preferred Skills:
- Forklift Operation and DOT certification
- Experience with Logiwa - WMS Software System
