Job DescriptionMig WelderLocation: Holland, MI Shift: 6:00am–4:00pm (Monday–Thursday) Pay: $20+/hour
Job SummaryDo you take pride in your welding skills and enjoy working with your hands to build quality products? We’re seeking a Mig Welder to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you’ll perform high-quality MIG welds, follow detailed work instructions, and help support a strong and safety-focused production team.
What You’ll Be DoingAs a Mig Welder, your core responsibilities will include:
Reading and following work orders, blueprints, CAD drawings, and rough sketches.
Setting up, operating, and maintaining welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Completing MIG welds on various stock shapes, sizes, and thicknesses.
Welding in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
Selecting the proper flow rate, amperage, and wire feed rate for high-quality weld penetration and appearance.
Using measuring tools such as tape measures to ensure accuracy to specifications.In addition, you will also be expected to assist with material handling using forklifts, hoists, or pallet trucks, maintain a clean and organized work area, and document all work performed.
What We’re Looking ForQualifications:
Two years of welding training or related work experience, or an equivalent combination.
Ability to read and comprehend work orders, blueprints, and CAD drawings.
U.S. work authorization required.
Skills:
Proficient in MIG welding across multiple positions.
Ability to select proper welding settings for consistent quality.
Skilled in using measuring tools to meet specifications.
Ability to operate forklifts, hoists, or pallet trucks.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long shifts.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Ability to work in a loud environment with exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
