Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the Saint Johns, FL area, serving schools within the Jacksonville region. This contract role requires licensed SLP professionals to provide essential speech and language services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services across multiple school sites, working itinerantly to support a diverse caseload.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with mild to moderate communication disorders.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training sessions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold an active Florida Department of Health Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Experience working with students from early childhood through high school.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 60 students with varied communication needs.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy and educational regulations.
- Completion of fingerprinting and background clearance through AHCA or willingness to complete required credentialing for a JLA badge.
Position Details:
- Start date: ASAP through May 28, 2026
- Full-time schedule: 35 hours per week (7 hours per day)
- Role requires on-site work only; remote or VOCO arrangements are not available at this time.
- Itinerant position spanning multiple schools within the district.
