Position: Demolition & Environmental Remediation Superintendent
Job Status: Full time, exempt with 401k, health insurance benefits, PTO, Holidays, 401k is available after eligibility requirements are met.
Salary: $125k - $175k
Hours: 40 hours +
Location: Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant; Forked River , NJ
Reports to: Senior ADND Management - CEO / Sr. Vice President / VP Finance & Admin / Project Specific / Client / Stakeholders / Regulators
Key Responsibilities
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years project experience on projects $10m +/- annual revenue
- Safety Leadership: Champion a culture of safety on-site. Applicants must have a proven track record of incident-free management on large-scale demolition projects.
- Site Management: Full-time, on-site supervision and hands-on involvement in daily operations from project inception to completion.
- Hazard Mitigation: Conduct environmental and safety assessments, implement work plans, and ensure strict adherence to EPA, OSHA, and contract-specific regulations such as site walk downs and pre demo engineering surveys.
- Environmental Remediation: Oversee abatement and remediation of hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead, PCBs, heavy metals, and CERCLA/RCRA-defined wastes.
- Radiological Open Air Demolition: Managing Unionized CBA CRAFT Labor inside contamination areas (CAs), and high contamination areas (HCAs) with a general familiarity of Department of Energy and NRC demolition and remediation activities. Determining means, methods, and sequencing of demolition activities.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and supervise laborers, equipment operators, and environmental technicians. Preference given to candidates with access to reliable, safety-conscious crews.
- Communication: Act as primary liaison between the field team, clients, regulatory agencies, and company leadership. Maintain thorough documentation and progress reporting.
- Budget & Scheduling: Develop cost estimates, monitor job costing, and track production metrics to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.
- Equipment Management: Coordination of onsite mechanics, equipment vendors, managing Preventive Maintenance (PM), spare parts, and repairs
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage demolition and remediation projects in high-risk environments.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Results-oriented with clear accountability standards tied to safety performance.
- Familiarity with federal/state environmental and demolition regulations.

- Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
- This is a travel orientated position with trips home.
- CAPM, PMP, EVMS certifications are a plus
- Familiarity with estimating is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products is a plus (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar is a plus
