PM Production Supervisor – What You'll Do:
As the PM Production Supervisor, you'll be Responsible for the supervision of PM Shift operations at the Willows Production and Distribution facility. Coordination is required between this position and other shift Supervisors, Operations Manager, Leads, Safety Managers, Human Resources, and other leadership. The key challenge of this position is to continually improve the overall effectiveness through improvements to safety, processing and packaging costs, product quality, and employee morale.
- Coordinate and supervise Production Department activities:
- Coordinate and optimize packaging equipment utilization.
- All bulk preparations (scanning and yields) and finished product packaging.
- All foreign material, quality documentation, and follow through.
- Labor requirements and adjustments to ensure standard staffing.
- Human Resource policy adherence and follow through.
- Prioritize, initiate, and coordinate problem solving efforts to improve the effectiveness of the processing and packaging areas.
- Enforce all standards, policies and procedures with Safety and Quality at top of mind.
- Lead and organize department meetings ensuring compliance with all Company programs and policies.
- Organize and participate in Masters Gallery Foods Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Identify needs and coordinate training and development for all Production personnel.
- Maintain records, forms, and other documentation as required to ensure regulatory, Plant, and customer requirements compliance. Support and facilitate implementation of all Plant initiatives.
- Provide direct leadership to all Team Leads and Line Leads to ensure continuous development.
- Investigate and document all injuries for root cause using EHS software.
- Report performance and departmental issues to Plant Leadership as needed.
- Work closely with Maintenance personnel to continually identify opportunities to improve Overall Equipment (OEE) improvement leadership.
- Perform daily and weekly audits (GMP/Safety). Monitor usage and input of trim for shred items.
- Perform reviews on production team members (90 days/Annual).
What You Bring:
- 3-5+ years of successful experience working in a manufacturing production environment in a progressively responsible supervisory role.
- Associate degree in Supervisory Management, Manufacturing Operations, or related preferred (or commensurate relevant experience).
- Ability to fluently communicate needs of production staff. Spanish fluency a big plus.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and supervisory skills.
- Must possess a coaching mentality and have a proactive approach to solving problems.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources laws and regulations with a high level of confidentiality.
- Specific knowledge of production processes and packaging operations; Basic understanding of LOTO.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work occasional weekend hours and additional hours as needed.
- Ability to use a PC, iPad, and Microsoft Office and Outlook Products.
