POSITION OBJECTIVE AND SUMMARY
Receives, locates and issues inventory items and materials to insure inventory accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general guidelines of management,
· Receives, verify and stock all incoming shipments.
· Unloads materials from freight and supplier vehicles and stock warehouse.
· Compares identifying information of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices or packing lists. Reports all discrepancies to Purchasing Department.
· Delivers materials and supplies to requestors.
· Labels, organizes and locates inventory items in staging areas, or on shelves, according to quantity, size or type of material.
· Issues and updates inventory transaction requests.
· Maintains and updates database and files accordingly.
· Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
Prefer High School or equivalent GED; equivalent work experience maybe substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE
Must have three to five years directly related experience in inventory control, preferably in manufacturing.
KNOWLEDGE
Must have working knowledge of File Maker Pro or equivalent database software, inventory control methods and procedures, weight and measures, Federal Express Power Shipping program, UPS On-Line program, packing slips, and purchase orders. Must have aptitude for acquiring product knowledge. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of street map.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have ability to read and interpret data, respond to common inquiries from staff, customer and vendors, communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Able to lift a minimum of 25lbs. Operate forklift and a valid CA Driver’s License is required.
