Position Overview:
RMC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer at Patuxent River, MD. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead projects focused on the research, design, development, testing, and oversight of manufacturing and installation of electrical systems and components for manned and unmanned airborne, shipborne, fixed, and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design, development, and integration of advanced electrical and sensor systems.
  • Oversee prototyping, installation, and testing to ensure systems meet operational and mission requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and performance objectives.
  • Develop and enhance system documentation, processes, and training materials.
  • Support system maintenance, troubleshooting, and integration activities across DoD environments.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with sensor technologies and systems within the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex engineering development projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Department of the Navy or Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) programs.
  • Familiarity with military standards, system safety, and acquisition processes.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $170,000 to $200,000 (annually).
