We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Frisco, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting the overall payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll administration and possess strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
• Calculate employee compensation based on hours worked, salary structures, bonuses, and commissions.
• Process payroll taxes, deductions, and other payroll-related expenses with precision.
• Manage garnishments, adjustments, and other modifications to employee pay as necessary.
• Collaborate with the Payroll Manager or Supervisor to ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate payroll templates and salary structures to streamline operations.
• Oversee and report on expense reimbursements and other payroll-related financial activities.
• Handle worker's compensation claims and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
• Support the implementation of bonus programs and commission functions as needed.
• Regularly audit payroll data to identify and address discrepancies.
• Provide replacement coverage for payroll functions during employee absences.
• A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
• Proficiency in managing payroll systems and processes, including calculating wages and tax deductions.
• Knowledge of garnishments, adjustments, and worker's compensation procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
• Familiarity with bonus programs, commission structures, and related payroll functions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to adapt to changes and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
