The Electronics Assembler works closely with Engineers, Project Managers, and the Quality Assurance Manager to support the production of high-quality electronic and mechanical assemblies. This role is responsible for assembling components, fabricating parts, and ensuring all work meets established specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electronic and mechanical assembly of components, units, and printed circuit boards according to specifications and work instructions.
  • Install components and subassemblies using proper techniques and established procedures.
  • Utilize electronic, hand, power, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively.
  • Fabricate parts, cables, and test fixtures as required to support production and testing activities.
  • Work directly with Engineers, Project Managers, and the Quality Assurance Manager to support project needs and resolve technical issues.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of assignments.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, datasheets, schematics, and written work instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to assembly tasks, materials used, and work performed.

Essential Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of electronics assembly experience.
  • Proficient computer and typing skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and assignments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using hand tools and small power tools.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in PCB assembly, electronic assembly, and mechanical assembly.
  • Experience with cabling, harness assembly, and test equipment.
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes and microscopes.

Work Environment

The position is based in a brand new testing lab, located in the Seven Corners area. The work environment is collaborative and supportive, with opportunities for career advancement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Falls Church, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
