The Electronics Assembler works closely with Engineers, Project Managers, and the Quality Assurance Manager to support the production of high-quality electronic and mechanical assemblies. This role is responsible for assembling components, fabricating parts, and ensuring all work meets established specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform electronic and mechanical assembly of components, units, and printed circuit boards according to specifications and work instructions.
- Install components and subassemblies using proper techniques and established procedures.
- Utilize electronic, hand, power, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively.
- Fabricate parts, cables, and test fixtures as required to support production and testing activities.
- Work directly with Engineers, Project Managers, and the Quality Assurance Manager to support project needs and resolve technical issues.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of assignments.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, datasheets, schematics, and written work instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to assembly tasks, materials used, and work performed.
Essential Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of electronics assembly experience.
- Proficient computer and typing skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and assignments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using hand tools and small power tools.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in PCB assembly, electronic assembly, and mechanical assembly.
- Experience with cabling, harness assembly, and test equipment.
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes and microscopes.
Work Environment
The position is based in a brand new testing lab, located in the Seven Corners area. The work environment is collaborative and supportive, with opportunities for career advancement.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Falls Church, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
