Job DescriptionSpeech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Openings

School-Based Positions – 2026–2027 School Year

We have multiple school-based Speech-Language Pathologist openings available, including two short-term maternity leave coverage assignments and several ongoing caseload-sharing positions. All positions listed below include a full benefits package.

Location

Pea Ridge Elementary School (In-Person, Onsite)

Employment Type

Full-Time – 5 days/week

Schedule

6:45 AM – 2:15 PM

Assignment Type

Maternity leave coverage

Anticipated Dates

Begins August 3 (pre-planning) through at least October; exact end date to be confirmed with the SLP on leave

On-Site Team

Will work alongside an SLP and a Clinical Fellow (CF) SLP at this site

Required Credential

CF-SLP or CCC-SLP

Note: If a candidate is unable to commit to the full-time schedule, spot coverage will also be considered. This coverage could carry over after the SLP returns from leave to provide compensatory therapy for any time missed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing evaluations as needed for assigned caseload

  • Develop, implement, and progress-monitor IEP goals and objectives for students with communication disorders

  • Provide direct individual and/or group therapy services in accordance with each student's IEP

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, families, and other related-service providers

  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility staffings, and re-evaluation reviews

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and ASHA standards

  • Supervise and mentor Clinical Fellow SLPs and/or SLP Assistants as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Active or eligible Florida SLP license (or ability to obtain prior to start date)

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or active Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) under supervision

  • Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred but not required

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and time-management skills
