Location: Minneapolis, MN
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule & Shift Details

  • Night Shift: 3x12 Hours | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Occasional Rotation: Day Shift | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
  • On-Call: Required

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with advanced critical care experience to support a high-acuity clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ECMO, ventilator management, and emergency respiratory care, delivering high-quality patient care across various clinical settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of patients
  • Manage advanced ventilator settings and support weaning protocols
  • Assist with airway management, including intubation support, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
  • Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
  • Administer respiratory medications and therapies
  • Support ECMO therapy, including monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Assist with patient transport (intra- and interdepartmental)
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical protocols

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
  • Minimum 1 year of ECMO Specialist experience (required)
  • Active State Respiratory Therapy License (or pending at submission, active by start date)
  • First-time travelers accepted (must have ECMO experience)

Required Certifications

  • CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)
  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS

Clinical Skills & Experience

  • ECMO: VV ECMO preferred
  • Ventilator Management: BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, weaning protocols
  • ABG Interpretation & Arterial Punctures
  • Airway Management: Intubation assist, suctioning, tracheostomy care
  • Oxygen Therapy: HFNC, ET Tube, Trach collar, T-piece
  • Medication Administration: Albuterol, Atrovent, Nitric Oxide, Pulmicort, etc.
  • Nebulizer Treatments: Cold, heated, ultrasonic
  • Patient Transport: Intra/interdepartmental
