Job Description
Summary
Our client, a global pharmaceutical organization, has engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide them with a Medical Information Specialist to support a growing, high profile company initiative.
Duties / Expectations of Role
- Receives, documents, and responds to written medical information requests from healthcare providers
- Handles escalated calls from the call center regarding products as needed
- Updates and/or creates medical letters pertaining to products
- Limits corporate liability by meeting the medical ethical and legal responsibilities of providing product/device related information
- Serves as an educational resource to both internal and external customers
- Recognizes and gathers, according to FDA guidelines and company policies, initial information regarding any product complaint or adverse event of which made aware during the handling of medical information and medical device inquiries
- Contributes to interdepartmental projects, and supports the provision of medical, scientific and technical information regarding products, as needed
- Provide assistance and/or training to other medical information personnel (i.e. consultants)
Mandatory Requirements
- Pharm D required
- 1-3 years’ experience with providing medical information to customers
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- MS Office; Experience with MI Systems a plus, but not required

- High degree of self-motivation, can lead without authority in a fast-paced, lean environment
- Very communicative, proactively sets expectations with stakeholders
- Comfortable with ambiguity, has the ability to make recommendations and execute in a timely manner, even without the availability of full data
- Ability to effectively and independently manage multiple competing initiatives with high attention to detail; requires strong organizational, planning and time management skills
