Pay Frequency: Monthly (stipend + per-study)About the RoleShareSTAFF is seeking a California-licensed, Board-Certified Radiologist to serve as Medical Director and Supervising Physician for a growing mobile ultrasound imaging company. This is a fully remote, low-time-commitment role with significant income potential tied to scalable study volume. Responsibilities include general supervision of diagnostic ultrasound operations (no on-site requirement), protocol review, quality assurance, and optional interpretation of ultrasound studies. The company is currently active in Sacramento and Los Angeles with planned expansion across California. Typical daily productivity runs 8–20 studies per unit, creating meaningful and scalable interpretation income. This role is designed for radiologists already working full-time or holding multiple supervisory positions who are looking for flexible supplemental income.What We Offer
- $2,000 per month Medical Director base stipend
- $20 per study interpretation fee (scalable as operations grow)
- Projected starting volume: 320-1,200+ studies per month across two coverage areas, with additional volume as operations expand
- $5,000 sign-on bonus
- Estimated hourly equivalent: $150–$200+ depending on time commitment and study volume
- 1099 independent contractor engagement with full schedule flexibility
- No on-site requirement – work from anywhere with a California license

What You'll Do
- Provide general supervision of mobile diagnostic ultrasound operations across California coverage areas
- Review and approve imaging protocols to ensure clinical appropriateness and quality standards
- Perform quality assurance reviews of completed ultrasound studies
- Interpret diagnostic ultrasound studies and deliver timely reports (optional; volume-dependent income)
- Collaborate with sonographers and operational staff on clinical questions and protocol adjustments
- Maintain compliance with California medical practice standards for supervising physicians
What You Bring - Required
- Active California medical license in good standing
- Board Certification in Radiology (ABR)
- Experience interpreting diagnostic ultrasound studies
- Experience with clinical oversight, quality assurance, and general supervision requirements
- Must be able to complete pre-placement requirements
What You Bring - Preferred
- Prior experience as a Medical Director or Supervising Physician
- Experience in mobile imaging, outpatient imaging, or teleradiology
- Experience overseeing multiple imaging sites or multi-location operations
- Comfort working in a startup or growth-stage environment
