1st Shift Looming-Multi-Skilled position
We have openings at a highly respected employer in Luck, WI, they are known for providing long-term career stability. As a Looming-Multiskilled Operator you are responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of industrial-grade woven wire and slot wire screens. This role requires the ability to move between different stations.
Shift and Pay:
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
- $19.00/hour
- Weekly pay every Friday
Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Assembly: Set up and operate machinery to weave or assemble wire cloth according to 'traveler' specifications and blueprints.
Finishing Operations: Perform secondary processes such as 'shearing' (cutting wire to size), 'hooking' (forming the edges for installation), and 'flashing' (removing excess material).
Quality Inspection: Use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify that wire diameters and mesh openings (ranging from very fine to 6-inch openings) meet strict industrial tolerances.
Machine Setup: Adjust loom settings, tensioners, and crimping machines based on the specific wire gauge (high-carbon, stainless, or oil-tempered steel).
Qualifications:
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in utilizing measuring tools with precision.
- Ability to safely operate machinery.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- High School Diploma
- 1 year of recent related work experience preferred but willing to train
