Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This special education teaching opportunity is located in Lake City, South Carolina, for the 2026-2027 school year. The position serves students from Pre-K through 2nd grade at an early childhood center and runs from August 10, 2026, to May 21, 2027. The role requires a full-time commitment, Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in Pre-K to 2nd grade.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state guidelines.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet individual goals.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and school personnel.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher license for the state of South Carolina (mandatory).
- Experience teaching young children in special education settings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to create engaging and adaptive lesson plans tailored to student needs.
Location: Lake City Early Childhood Center, Lake City, SC.
