Essential Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, high-quality care to Stepdown patients with complex medical needs
- Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and respond to rapid changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other care professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide knowledge, support, and education to patients and their families during recovery
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations
