Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant to support payroll operations, employee records management, payroll compliance, auditing, and payroll-related accounting functions. This role requires strong payroll processing experience, attention to detail, and proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Manage wage garnishments, payroll transfers, and benefits deductions.
- Maintain employee payroll records and payroll system data.
- Conduct payroll audits and ensure data accuracy.
- Reconcile payroll records and assist with payroll-related audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Prepare and review payroll reports and year-end payroll activities.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries.
- Support accounting and finance teams with payroll-related projects.
- Work with multiple payroll systems and HRIS platforms simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
- Experience with garnishments, payroll taxes, retro pay calculations, and year-end payroll activities.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
- Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of payroll compliance, labor laws, and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.
- FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional).
- Experience with Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, ADP, QuickBooks, PayChoice, or Payroll Associates.
- Prior experience in healthcare payroll environments.
