Deliver critical care as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department setting, providing comprehensive patient assessment and treatment across all age groups. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes for emergency cases.
- Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Maintain compliance with nursing scope, Missouri Nurse Practice Act, and organizational policies and standards.
- Assist in patient transfers and safely handle medical equipment and devices.
- Use EPIC electronic medical records for documentation and communication.
- Float as needed to cover units within the emergency department.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current RN licensure or temporary work permit in Missouri.
- Minimum of 1 year ER nursing experience required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS; PALS or ENPC as applicable.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Competency in human relations and clinical nursing skills in emergency care.
This is a contract position with weekly guaranteed hours totaling 36, including weekend shifts as required. A flu vaccination is mandatory for travel assignments from November 1 to April 1 (exemptions require approval). Scrub color for the role is black.
