Position: Receptionist
Location: Salinas, CA 93901
Assignment: July 21, 2025 – November 21, 2025
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $21.00 – $25.00 hourly, paid weekly.
(Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base pay information is based on market location.)
Position Summary:
- Greet and welcome visitors, determine the nature of their visit, and notify appropriate staff members.
- Operate a multi-line phone system to answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Retrieve and forward voicemail messages to the relevant individuals.
- Take and relay accurate messages or transfer callers to voicemail when staff are unavailable.
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, collating documents, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a professional and organized reception area.
- This role involves regular sitting, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Visual requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role preferred.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage standard administrative issues with minimal supervision.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- 1–2 years of related experience; prior escrow experience is a plus.
- Able to speak clearly and effectively in both individual and group settings.
- Capable of presenting information and responding to questions in a professional manner.
- Demonstrates strong written communication skills, including grammar, editing, and tailoring messaging to different audiences.
- Participates actively and constructively in meetings.
- Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
- Effectively manages emotional or difficult situations with empathy and composure.

Working Conditions:
- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
- The ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Use of computers and technology.
