You’ll work closely with the host and DMM’s Head of Content to create a supportive environment where emotional vulnerability and entertainment meet. Strong instincts for story, tone, and pacing are essential, along with attention to detail, technical excellence, and creative flair.

This is a project-based hybrid role, with work performed both remotely and in-studio in Denver, NC. Flexibility is key – recording schedules may include early call times, longer-than-typical sessions, and tight turnaround deadlines.

  • Producer – this may include:
    • Develop detailed call sheets, show rundowns, camera plans, and guest prep documents
    • Lead technical production of episodes including board operation, camera switching, and file management
    • Direct in-studio and remote recordings, managing crew, setup, and equipment
    • Package and publish final episodes to podcast platforms and YouTube
    • Conduct final quality control across all deliverables
    • Fulfill and track host-read ad placements and branded content integrations
    • Conduct background research on each guest’s personal story, professional history, and relevant topics
    • Identify viral moments, and deeper themes to build episode structure
    • Collaborate with the host to shape questions and guide the tone of the conversation
    • Monitor social trends, audience feedback, and analytics to inform future episode prep
  • Podcast Editor – using Adobe Audition, this may include:
    • Audio vetting, audio formatting and audio mastering to ensure the highest quality of content.
    • Edit longform podcast episodes for pacing, flow, clarity, and tone
    • Design audio experience with music, stingers, transitions, and sound effects
    • Mix and master final audio for optimal clarity and loudness across platforms
  • Video Editor – using Adobe Premiere, this may include:
    • Video design to enhance franchise-viewing experience.
    • Footage vetting and discernment.
    • Video formatting to ensure viewing compatibility and video mastering to ensure the highest-quality viewing experience.
    • Edit YouTube episodes and social clips from multi-camera shoots
    • Sync audio/video, color correct, and design visual storytelling
    • Format deliverables for vertical and horizontal outputs (YouTube, TikTok, Reels, etc.)
    • Implement brand elements and thumbnail integration as needed
  • Education: Currently in pursuit of or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: 2+ years of podcast production experience, ideally in lifestyle or women-focused content.
  • Skills: Must be proficient with Adobe’s editing suite, primarily Adobe Audition and Adobe Premiere; must have experience with podcasting or radio production and multi-cam podcast setups. Must be creative and self-motivated with strong research skills and editorial instincts for storytelling, while working in a collaborative, team environment and responding well to direction. Must be willing to work in a highly-competitive, fast-paced environment – remotely, accurately and on a deadline. Must be able to problem-solve on both a strategic and functional level. Must have on-set interpersonal skills, including a supportive, professional and empathetic approach to vulnerable and sensitive topics (faith, sexuality, mental health, infertility). Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain strict confidentiality (NDA required).

This is a hybrid position with work performed both remotely and on location at the podcast studio in Denver, North Carolina. Contractor must have their own editing setup/software; production gear provided on-site.
