Position Overview
The Clinical Pharmacist – BMT/Oncology primarily practices in the Cancer Care Clinic and rotates to the inpatient BMT/Oncology unit. This role supports advanced transplant and oncology programs and collaborates closely with specialty physicians and nurses to deliver cutting-edge pharmacotherapy. The BMT Pharmacist serves as the subject matter expert in this specialty, exercising clinical autonomy and independent decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Provide pharmacotherapy management for hematology, oncology, BMT, biotherapy, and immune effector cellular therapy patients

Support autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplant regimens

Manage CAR T-cell and BiTE therapies

Perform therapeutic drug monitoring and patient counseling

Develop, implement, and monitor oncology order sets, protocols, and guidelines

Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, medical center committees, and interdisciplinary meetings

Support medication distribution and order entry
Qualifications
-
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) – Required
-
Current Nevada Pharmacist License – Required

Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) – Required

PGY2 Oncology and/or Bone Marrow Transplant Pharmacy Residency OR minimum 5 years of clinical oncology experience

Experience in a BMT/Oncology clinic with collaborative practice agreements
