Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Household Goods Transportation Planner to support nationwide moving operations. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating moves for OTR CDL drivers handling household goods and commercial relocations. The Planner works closely with Dispatch, Carrier Planning, drivers, and approved carrier partners to ensure efficient routing, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate nationwide household goods moves for assigned OTR CDL drivers.
- Manage complex move schedules, including multi-stop, time-sensitive, and long-haul relocations.
- Optimize routing and driver utilization based on availability, Hours of Service (HOS), equipment type, and move requirements.
- Work closely with Dispatch to ensure drivers receive accurate instructions, directions, schedules, and special handling notes.
- Collaborate with the Carrier Planner to align company drivers and carrier partners with move demand.
- Maintain real-time visibility of truck availability and upcoming move commitments.
- Accurately enter and update move information in the TMS.
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and HOS requirements.
- Participate in safety-related and operational support activities.

Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in transportation planning, dispatch, or logistics.
- Experience working with nationwide OTR CDL drivers.
- Household goods or moving industry experience strongly preferred but not required.
- Experience coordinating with partners or 3rd party providers, preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Continental United States Geography / Map.
- Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service (HOS).
