Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 18 months of experience who is comfortable with a mix of adult and pediatric caseloads and alternating shifts.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital setting providing outpatient, inpatient, and ER x-rays
  • 30% or more of the imaging volume consists of pediatric cases
  • Procedures include extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and both lower and upper extremities
  • Portable x-rays required; use of C-Arm and PACS is preferred
  • Equipment used is Siemens
  • Scheduling includes alternating shifts: Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Call required up to 4–5 times per month; holiday coverage is required
  • EMR is Cerner; Cerner experience preferred
  • Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals may be required
  • Must be comfortable working with both pediatric and adult patient populations
  • Department staff includes six technologists per day
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Returning perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month gap before reapplying as a traveler
  • Must be willing to work at least two out of three major holidays
  • Auto-approval for up to five days of requested time off

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of recent experience as an X-Ray Technologist
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
  • ARRT certification is required
  • Valid IN or compact state license required if applicable
  • Graduate from an ACEN or CCNE accredited university
  • Experience with portable x-rays required
  • Experience with Cerner charting preferred
  • Experience with C-Arm and contract cases preferred
