Expert Staffing West is seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer for an industry leading manufacturer in the city of Temecula, CA
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer specializing in repair, maintenance, and modification of aircraft and aerospace components. This role focuses on analyzing structural and mechanical issues, developing cost-effective repair solutions, and ensuring compliance with airworthiness and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate damaged or worn aerospace structures, components, and systems to determine appropriate repair or modification solutions.
- Develop and approve engineering repair procedures in compliance with FAA, EASA, and OEM requirements.
- Perform stress analysis, fatigue assessments, and materials evaluations to ensure safety and reliability of repairs.
- Provide technical support to maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) teams during aircraft inspections and repair processes.
- Prepare detailed repair documentation, technical reports, and engineering orders.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing teams to ensure repairs meet certification standards.
- Investigate recurring issues and recommend engineering improvements to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
- Support continued airworthiness by staying updated with OEM service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in aircraft repair engineering, MRO operations, or continued airworthiness engineering.
- Knowledge of structural repair, materials (composites, aluminum, titanium), and aircraft systems.
- Proficiency with CAD, stress analysis tools, and repair design software.
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA regulations, Part 145, and OEM repair manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications (DER/DAR authority) is a plus.
- Minium of 3 to 5 years of experience in Aerospace
Work Environment:
This role involves a mix of office-based engineering work, hangar/MRO facility support, and occasional field assignments for on-site repair assessments.
