Activities Therapist (Full Time)

Mission Behavioral Health

Located in Huntingburg, Indiana

Mission Hospital is a 16 bed acute geriatric behavioral health Facility.

Job Duties:

● Plan, organize, and facilitate individual and group recreational and leisure activities.

● Complete an Activity Assessment on each patient within a 72 hour time-line.

● Complete daily progress notes for each patient.

● Assess patient needs, develop goals and objectives in their care plan.

● Document weekly progress in patient treatment plan.

● Work closely and effectively with all members of the treatment team.

● Post and maintain a daily Activity Schedule.

● Post and maintain a Monthly Calendar.

● Maintain the health and safety of patients.

● Attend required meetings.

● Obtain necessary supplies and equipment along with providing their accessibility.

● Work with hospital administrator in developing an Activity Department budget.

Qualifications:

▪ Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS preferred)

▪ Master’s Degree Music Therapist

▪ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis on a therapeutic discipline

▪ Two (2) years experience providing Activity Therapy. Prefer minimum of two (2) years in psychiatric or geriatric setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
