Required qualifications / skills:

A candidate must be a high school graduate or its equivalent, complete a recognized MA program at an accredited college or university, become certified within 90 days of hire, possess a functional working knowledge of medical terminology, demonstrate basic computer skills, excellent and dynamic people skills, excellent communication skills, and professional confidence.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with front office operation including greeting patients, in-processing and data entry.
  • Patient care coordination, interactive communication with medical staff.
  • Occasionally conducting triage procedures for initial evaluations of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries such as sprains, strains, lacerations, and contusions.
  • Safety surveillance procedures such as pulmonary function testing, hearing testing, eye exams, UDS's, and mask fitting
  • Assisting with medical testing, injections, blood draws, and medical screening
  • Participate in case management meetings
