Job DescriptionSenior Accountant ($70-85k), Jacksonville, FL
Immediate need for a Senior Accountant with a well-established CPA firm since 1980.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities in accordance with GAAP.
- Plan and execute internal/external audit assignments.
- Prepare clear and concise audit workpapers, findings, and recommendations.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Prepare and file accurate and timely federal, state, and local tax returns (corporate, partnership, sales/use, property, etc.).
- Process biweekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for hourly, salaried, and contract employees.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Public Accounting experience in the U.S. required.
- Experience in audits for churches, schools, non-profits, healthcare agencies, construction, and commercial entities.
- Expertise in auditing, payroll, AR/AP.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related majors.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Expertise in the preparation of Personal and Corporate Tax Returns. 1120C, 1120S, 1040, 1065, 990's.
- Great technical skills (Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Drake and Caseware Software experience).
