Position Overview
The Service Team Member is responsible for delivering an outstanding guest experience by providing friendly, efficient service in a fast‑paced restaurant environment. This role plays a critical part in representing the brand, ensuring order accuracy, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting overall restaurant operations. Service Team Members are expected to work collaboratively, maintain high standards, and contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and provide a positive first impression
- Accurately take customer orders and process transactions using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments following company cash‑handling procedures
- Assemble and serve food and beverages according to brand standards and guest expectations
- Maintain cleanliness of front counter, cashier station, and surrounding areas
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest questions or concerns, escalating issues when appropriate
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards at all times
- Restock service areas, condiments, and supplies as needed throughout the shift
- Support kitchen and team members during peak periods to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and workplace conduct expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous customer service or food service experience preferred but not required; training provided
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions
- Commitment to providing excellent guest service with a positive attitude
Schedule & Work Hours
- Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- This position is hourly and non‑exempt, eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws
- Meal and rest breaks provided in accordance with company policy and labor regulations
Education Background
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- Ability to read menus, follow instructions, and perform basic math
- Company‑provided training for customer service standards and POS systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25–40 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with moderate noise and varying temperatures
Work Environment
- Quick‑service / fast‑casual restaurant setting
