Position Summary
Grand Family Dentistry is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to support our doctors and clinical team in providing outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate is motivated, team-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to creating exceptional patient experiences.
What You'll Do
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Deliver quality, compassionate care to every patient.
- Welcome and guide patients through their treatment experience.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Prepare patients for examinations and dental procedures.
- Take and document dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Assist doctors during restorative, surgical, and hygiene procedures.
- Support procedures through suctioning, retraction, and other chairside assistance.
- Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in electronic charts.
- Ensure treatment rooms are fully prepared and operational.
- Set up trays and instruments for dental procedures.
- Prepare dental materials, including cements, impression materials, and other clinical products.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and clinical areas.
Laboratory & Administrative Support
- Pour, trim, and polish impression models.
- Fabricate temporary crowns and custom impression trays.
- Assist with inventory management and monthly supply counts.
- Support office operations and team initiatives as needed.
Community Engagement
Represent Grand Family Dentistry in community events, outreach programs, and educational opportunities.
Help promote a positive image of the practice through professionalism and patient-centered service.
