We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Boise, Idaho for a non-profit organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and providing administrative support to maintain smooth operations. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for accuracy in financial tracking and reconciliation.
Responsibilities:
• Process and verify invoices while ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
• Maintain detailed reimbursement records, tracking submissions and payments accurately.
• Prepare purchase order packets for review and approval by relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor development travel requests and reimbursements to ensure compliance with policies and budgets.
• Oversee the audit schedule for community schools and ensure timely implementation.
• Follow up with school partners on payment submissions, sending monthly reminders to business managers as needed.
• Track match requirements and notify the Community Schools Project Manager of potential issues or support needs.
• Provide logistical support for contracts by tracking expiration dates and managing renewal timelines.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining financial and administrative files in compliance with audit standards.
• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Experience with QuickBooks and other financial software.
• Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
• Familiarity with invoice processing and account reconciliation.
• Knowledge of grant accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow up on financial submissions.
• Understanding of compliance and audit requirements for financial records.
