A Typical Day:

• Act as an available resource to all shift staff, assuming a leadership role.

• Act as a resource for the attending physician and clinical team.

• Assist Administrative Coordinator to cover scheduling/assignment needs.

• Participate in the hiring and termination of shift employees with the Myers Hall Manager, as requested.

• Participate in counselling and evaluating of team members, addressing concerns with performance.

• Make resident rounds every shift.

• Respond to resident emergencies and family requests promptly.

• Perform clinical record audits as directed by policy and/or Myers Hall Manager & Clinical Supervisor.

• Participate in QAPI as requested, working with the Myers Hall Manager to identify, document, and report on QAPI projects.

• Oversee and supervise medication administration, ordering, and documentation.

• Assist the LPN team in responding to Monthly Pharmacy Consultative Reports.

• Identify educational/training needs of shift staff and assist in providing ways to meet needs.

Requirements:

What We Need In A Candidate:

• Licensed Practical Nurse licensed by the state of South Carolina and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.

• At least one year of long-term care experience, with desire and ability to supervise and provide leadership.

• At least 21 years of age

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Proficient in the use of electronic medical record systems.
