National Capitol Contracting is seeking an HR Coordinator with experience in human resources. The ideal candidate is strong in administrative abilities, organization, assisting with compliance, using various HR systems, and has strong customer service skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all HR administrative/transactional responsibilities including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and employee morale and retention activities
- Assist with maintaining compliance with HR related federal, state, and local requirements
- Participate in internal communications plans including newsletters and planning events
- Coordinate NCC’s training program including tracking certifications held by employees and completion of mandatory quarterly trainings
- Promote a positive work culture through morale boosting activities and events including group activities
- Respond to employee inquiries
- Respond to employment verification requests
- Maintain electronic employee personnel files
- Understand and use electronic HR business tools to drive automation, process efficiency and reporting to support business decisions
- Gather data for various compliance reports for HR leadership review
- Conduct orientation and onboarding of new staff
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of Human Resources experience
- Basic understanding of HR and employment related laws and regulations
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to quickly changing priorities
- Strong problem solving, decision making, and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of overall federal government contracting
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred, but not required

Compensation:
$55,000-$60,000
The compensation range listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, budget, market data, and relevant laws.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility to meet business needs.
