Optometrist
Bilingual : (Chinese & English Speaking)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
We are seeking for someone ideal for a bilingual Optometrist passionate about patient-centered care, providing comprehensive eye exams and vision solutions while serving a multicultural community.

Conducting comprehensive eye exams and evaluating overall ocular health.

Diagnosing, treating, and managing common eye conditions and visual disorders.

Prescribing corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.

Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests (refraction, tonometry, retinal assessments).

Identifying ocular diseases and referring patients to specialists when needed.

Educating patients on eye health, preventive care, and lens usage.

Maintaining accurate patient records in EMR systems.

Communicating effectively with both Chinese and English-speaking patients.

Collaborating with optical staff and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Staying current on advancements in optometry and vision care technologies.
Education, Licensure, and Experience:

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.

Active optometry license in New York.

Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) and English.

Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient communication skills.

Preferred: Experience with bilingual/multicultural patients, EMR systems, contact lens fitting, pediatric or geriatric care, and patient counseling.
