Compensation: $45–$50/hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Weekend Rotation: None
Facility Size: 99 beds

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join a supportive rehabilitation team in Hayward, California. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced PTAs and new graduates who want to make a meaningful difference while continuing to grow their clinical skills.

In this role, you'll work closely with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with patients, celebrate their progress, and see the impact of your work every day.

With a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend rotation, this position also offers a great opportunity to build a rewarding career while maintaining a predictable weekly routine.

Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:

  • Implement treatment programs developed by the supervising Physical Therapist

  • Provide therapeutic exercises and functional activities based on individual patient goals

  • Assist patients with mobility, gait, balance, strength, endurance, and functional training

  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes to the supervising PT

  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, safety, and continued progress

  • Document treatments and patient progress accurately and efficiently

  • Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team

  • Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional standards

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • New graduates and experienced PTAs are encouraged to apply
