Position Overview:
As theLongacre Brand Manager, you will be the driving force behind the brands market presence, product development, and customer engagement. You will serve as a brand champion to both end users and our wholesale distribution network, shaping strategy and execution across departments. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for motorsports, technical aptitude, and experience in a product-driven manufacturing environment. You will drive the development and execution of strategic branding initiatives across digital, retail, events, and media channels, ensuring everything we do is bold, authentic, and aligned with the high-performance values of the racing world.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Field Engagement
Conduct field research, meet with racing teams and customers, gather market insights, and collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and trends. Translate summary data into detailed product specifications, as necessary. Conduct customer surveys or focus groups to measure brand equity and loyalty. Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows (e.g., SEMA, PRI), and motorsports venues.
Competitive Analysis
Create detailed pricing and feature matrices by product group, benchmarking against key competitors and historical pricing and demand.
New Product Development
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and Executive teams to build and refine a strong product development pipeline and see projects to completion. The ability to provide information for developing business cases is a huge plus.
Product Launch Strategy
Lead the cross-functional coordination of product introductions. Assess product readiness, evaluate market demand, and guide the rollout messaging and timing. Assist with technical documentation, install guides, and dealer training.
Brand Messaging & Communication
Serve as the face and voice of the Longacre brand. Partner with the Marketing Director and Sales Team to drive consistent messaging across influencers, distributors, and key industry channels.
Brand Positioning & Strategy
Help shape Longacres reputation in the market. Set objectives, monitor brand health, and execute initiatives that differentiate Longacre from competitors. Part of this process will include product lifecycle leadership for the Longacre brand (product performance data, warranty data, customer feedback, and regulatory requirements). Collaborate with content creators, photographers, and designers to produce high-quality branded assets.
Cross-Department Collaboration
Coordinate with other departments within the company such as Purchasing, Planning, Quality and Engineering to ensure we are moving toward a common goal and addressing any potential disruption to workflow or issues which need to be addressed and communicated within the market.
Stakeholder Communication
Develop strategic communications for product launches and brand updates tailored to dealers, distributors, chassis builders, influencers, end users, and internal stakeholders.
Success Metrics & KPIs
Define key performance indicators to track brand and product performance. Establish quarterly reviews to evaluate progress and adapt strategies as needed.
Sales & Marketing Strategy
Work closely with Sales and Marketing to plan and execute promotional campaigns that increase awareness and drive sales across product lines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in brand management within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Strong communication, research, and analytical skills.
- Proactive problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
- Experience in motorsports, performance automotive, or precision mechanical components.
- Experience building and managing a brand across multiple channels (digital, print, event).
- Familiarity with sponsorship negotiations and influencer campaigns.
- Working knowledge of SEO, paid social, or ecommerce platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
