Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort during visits. The Dental Hygienist will work collaboratively with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient experiences while adhering to the highest standards of infection control and care.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Conduct thorough documentation reviews and maintain accurate patient records within Dentrix systems.
• Assess and record vital signs, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored to individual needs.
• Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, providing a friendly and reassuring environment for young patients.
• Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile clinical environment.
• Collaborate with dentists in general dentistry procedures, providing support during examinations and treatments.
• Stay updated on the latest dental practices, technologies, and regulations to enhance patient care.

Requirements

• Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
• Experience with Dentrix software is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and best practices in a dental office setting.
• Proficiency in performing vital sign assessments and understanding their implications for patient care.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively about oral health.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of care in all aspects of dental hygiene.
• Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $75.00 - $78.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
